Who we are & What we Do
F.O.D.U SCE (Friends Of Dogs United) is a Social Cooperative Enterprise based in Athens, Greece.
The purpose of the cooperative is to pursue collective benefit and to serve general social interests.
Specifically, the cooperative aims to collect and care for strays, create programs and actions for feeding, neutering, adopting, treating, promoting hospitality and protecting against abuse, by establishing and managing a shelter for stray dogs, with a veterinary clinic for immediate and effective care of the shelter’s animals.
The development of zoophilia in general and in particular for pets as human friends. Promoting animal welfare and volunteering by organizing:
a. Events and tutorials in groups of citizens, pupils, members of associations, associations and organizations where citizens will be informed of the rights and obligations of animal law,
b. Actions and initiatives to facilitate citizens on various issues – problems they have with respect to pets or stray animals. Undertaking legal action against any natural or legal person, private, public or municipal, who by his acts or omissions creates a problem in the social community for any of the purposes of the cooperative.
